Shipping


Most of our furniture is shipped directly from the manufacturers to you. All merchandise is carefully inspected and packaged so that it arrives to you in perfect condition. We use only trusted shipping companies for fast, reliable delivery service.

Free shipping

We are proud to offer FREE shipping on every product, every day inside the continental USA (lower 48 states). We use only the most reputable shipping services (UPS, FedEx) and partner with Freight Delivery companies for oversized items. Expedited shipping is available on certain products, except Freight items, at an additional cost. Please contact us if you would like to expedite your shipment or have any questions.

Freight shipping

Items that cannot be shipped by standard carriers because they are too heavy or require special handling are shipped via a specialized freight carrier. Freight shipping includes only standard curbside delivery. You will need to be present to sign for the item. Freight shipping does not include: "white glove" service, inside delivery, delivery to any floors other than the ground floor, or furniture assembly. If an item that you order ships via freight, our shipping partner will call in advance to schedule a delivery window during weekday business hours.

Where we ship

Currently we only ship to addresses within the contiguous 48 states of the US. We do not ship to APO/FPO addresses, P.O. boxes or international addresses.

Delivery times

Shipping times vary for each product and manufacturer, so please refer to the lead times quoted in each product's description for a more accurate estimate. The quoted lead times are averages for in-stock items and are only estimates.

We try hard to ship in the times quoted (and faster if possible), but sometimes items are delayed beyond the stated windows. If an item that you order will take longer than the original estimate, we will inform you as soon as possible to let you know what the new estimated shipping date is.

We will not charge your credit card until your order ships (custom orders are charged upfront...see return policy below).

Order confirmation

Upon completion of your order, you will receive an email confirmation from us with the details of your purchase. You will receive a second email confirmation once your order has shipped. Tracking information will also be included in that email so that you can easily track your package. For questions about tracking, please contact us and include your name and order number.

Returns & Exchanges

Returns & Exchanges

We offer a 30 Day Limited Money Back Guarantee returns policy. You have 30 days to exchange your item for anything else or simply return it for a full refund. Unlike other retailers, we don't charge a restocking fee.

Please contact us to receive an authorization # and instructions on returning goods. All returns must have a return authorization # to avoid delays and receive proper credit. Let us know the reason for return and your order information. Here are the exceptions and clarifications:

You are responsible for shipping the item back to us.
Products must be returned to us in their original condition and in their original packaging complete with all tags, instructions, and inserts.
We cannot accept returns/exchanges on products that are custom (color, finish, dimensions, upholstery, etc.).
Some of our products are offered with free shipping, so please note if you return/exchange a product that has free shipping our actual outbound shipping costs will be deducted from your return refund or exchange.

Damaged Goods Replacements

Items are carefully designed and packaged to withstand the rigors of travel, but sometimes damage does occur en route. Please inspect your purchase immediately upon receipt. In the rare event, you experience damage in your shipment, please be sure to note it on the delivery paperwork you sign and contact us as soon as possible. If the carton is obviously severely damaged, please refuse the shipment from the freight company. We will arrange for a replacement or replacement parts to be rushed out. Keep all of the original packing material. Please contact us, and we’ll provide you with instructions. Please note that if a replacement is not wanted, the normal return policy will apply.

Product Warranties

All products are covered by the warranty policies of the their manufacturers. If you have questions about the warranty for a specific product, or if you have questions on how to make a warranty claim, please contact us.

Order Cancellations

There is absolutely no charge for cancellation if your order has not been produced or shipped. If the product has been shipped, we will have to deduct freight charges since we can't stop shipment during transit. Cancellations or returns must be authorized in advance.

Security & Protection

Protecting your personal information is one of our highest priorities. For this reason, we use the most advanced encryption and firewall protection. The checkout and confirmation areas are secured using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) technology, ensuring that your credit card number and personal data are never sent over the Internet without encryption. Your credit card information is stored on a secured server that is not connected to the Internet. Statistically, using your credit card online to make purchases at Modern Collections is more secure than using it in a department store.

We take privacy very seriously at Modern Collections. Our policy is simple: We will not sell, rent or distribute your name, email address or any other identifiable information to any third party without your consent. All information is used solely for order processing.
